The pork stew was lovely with two nice bits of crackling perched on top. This went really well with the steamed lime rice. This was a good portion size and would probably have been just about enough on its own. The collard greens however were a nice addition. Firstly, the food came late. While advertised as mains, the portions were more like starters. The chicken was cooked ok, but the beans were bland. The fish was particularly poor - it still had scales on its skin and did not taste fresh. Came with plain rice. This meal was poor compared to other meals we've had on Housebites. - Jackie,N7

The meal we ordered from Will was enjoyable, tasted fresh and was not greasy like your normal takeaway. The pork was tender and full of flavour and the green chilis gave the dish a warm kick that built as you ate it. I couldn't taste the lime in the rice though and the beans needed a bit more seasoning. Both the Sweet Potato & Feta and Chicken & Beef Empanadas were well seasoned, moist and tasted good, although the beef and chicken is overpriced at £8.75 and not enough for a main. Should really be a starter for £6ish. Overall though we enjoyed the meal and would order some of Will's food again. - Mark,N19

Great pork chilli, though could have done with a bit more spice (for my personal tastes!) Empanadas tasty - but be prepared for food envy if you're hungry - they are dim sum sized.... or maybe I'm just greedy? all very tasty, especially the zingy lime /coriander concoction for general tipping and dipping over the rice. Food was delivered promptly and was relatively warm on arrival. Some dishes were very tasty such as the Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as the Spinach, feta and cumin empanadas. But was disappointed that the Beef and Chicken ones which are supposed to be a main course were actually the same size as the starter Empanadas we had ordered – the extras you get with the main Empanadas are not worth double the price of a starter. I’d rather have less extras and a bigger Empanada. The Green Pork Chilli lacked depth of flavour but the meat was tender. The Pao de mel had a very dense and claggy texture which was not very nice. The beef stew was absolutely perfect! Tasted fresh and bright -- home-made in the best possible sense. Coleslaw was lovely, and its green chili sauce artfully displayed on the side. However, the macaroni was oddly dry and somewhat flavourless. The empanada was a washout for me -- pastry and filling both bland.
