An excellent starter, lightly grilled mackerel was gorgeous and things got even better from there. A beautiful chicken cooked to a luscious perfection excellently complemented by tenderly roasted vegetable including some surprise potatoes. Full marks to the courgette; I had forgotten how delightful this much-underused vegetable could be. My only compliant - there were not enough of them! :) Smooth cherry cheesecake perfectly rounded off a meal that was delight from start to finish. - Paul,SE1
Arrived promptly and with a smile. Jan included a free mixed leaf salad which was a nice touch. All of the food supplied was well–cooked and tasty. The stuffed onions were a nice idea and full of flavour. The bream was clearly good quality fish and went well with the chickpeas and tomato sauce. The rice was also well cooked and the flatbreads a welcome addition. Overall it was a nice meal that fulfilled its purpose better than a standard takeaway. It was perhaps slightly overpriced for the quantities and constituents supplied, but we were left sated and happy with the food. Thanks Jan! - Tom,SE5
The pork was juicy and flavoursome. The Salsa Verde and pork juice reduction packed a special flavour punch. The salad was delightful, made up of freshly grown leaves, herbs and flowers that Jan said were from his veg garden. Jan was friendly and welcomed me into his kitchen while he served the meal. The food was no disappointment - delicious pork rubbed with mustard and potato and onion galette with a delicious jus. The piece de resistance was the desert - succulent pears in red wine with a worrying addictive hazelnut mousse. The only negative was the rather small portion of potato and that fact that he's not close enough to me and so can't deliver. Move to SW2 please Jan! - Ade,SW2
