The British takeaway food revolution has been bubbling away for quite sometime now and the press has really started to catch on especially in the past year or so. The restaurant scene in London has never been stronger and is way ahead of many other major city's across the world, some say even Paris.
But if you tried to get a good steak pie or decent bangers and mash delivered to your house you would probably struggle. For some reason it's just not a style of food that takeaway restaurants have really gone for.
We have found that good home cooked food, often British style 'comfort' food has been selling better than any other – not really surprising if you think how nice it would be to sit down to a beautiful braised lamb shank that has been bubbling away while you have been at work all afternoon; and what better to stick on a plate and pass off as your own at your next dinner party!
Great British takeaway food is not difficult; it just relies on great seasonal ingredients lovingly prepared and a bit of time, which is what most of us are lacking, so let one of our great chefs take the strain, and the time to cook you something from this and spend those precious after work hours relaxing.
