Hello, I am Mehri, I am Persian, I travelled across the world before settling in London! I enjoy cooking International cuisine, especially Asian dishes, with their many colours and warm spices.

I hope that you enjoy my food as much as I like cooking it every day, fresh for you. All the food I cook is Halal as well.

I would also love to cook and cater for any parties you may have, and will arrange all the little serving details, no matter how large or small they are. Please email info@housebites.com if you would like to make a booking.

I only rate our meal good because the sea bass was over cooked and too dry. Everything else was super-food arrived on time, everything that should be was hot. The lamb was delicious as was the tzatziki. The salad was, as stated on the web site, large and more an enough for two. I liked that all your packaging can be recycled. - NanDee, NW3

THank you for a delcious meal. I have the followiung comments: 1. The food was beautifully packed. BUT no labels. It wouldn't need a grand label - just a scribbled name of the dish inside. 2. The food intended to be served hot was packed in plastic so I had to decant it all into seperate oven-proof dishes - luckily I had enough. 3. Why the time limit on the ordering? After all in a restaurant one spends some time on the menu - I was phoning my guests for their preferences, filling in delivery instructions etc etc.I don't pretend to be a whizz on the computer. 4. When I got to "confirm" the screen just flicked back to the menus. "Yasmin" on the phone was extremely helpful and friendly - full marks! - but the end of the process was a little unnerving. - anne, NW3

The lamb stew was delicious as was the aubergine, and the Faloodeh was a revelation. If I was being totally picky there was a not entirely pleasant lemon taste we couldn't put our fingers on in the salads, which although I know it wasn't, maybe tasted a little synthetic. This is being picky though. We will definitely be ordering from Mehri again, she was wonderful with our dietary requirements, even called to talk things through, and the food was piping hot and very generously portioned. She's a really very wonderful chef. This was are first experience of Housbites and I'm delighted we found it and Mehri in particular, I'd recommend her to everyone! - Jenny, W11

The fried aubergine was overly sweet. It was supposed to have mushrooms and peppers in the sauce and there weren't any. The rice it came with was very nice though. The sauce for the meatballs tasted good but the meatballs themselves were dry and a lot of the sauce had leaked out of the container on the journey. It was supposed to come with naan bread but it came with pitta bread. The asparagus in butter garlic sauce tasted good but the asparagus was overcooked. - Emma, NW6

A taste of Persia. Mehri's food was sensational. A wonderfully exotic Eastern culinary experience. Super lean meat which literally falls off the bone, beautifully but subtly spiced stews and vegetables, really healthy portions. Ordered at work for myself and work colleagues and she now has many new fans. We're all trying to work out how she can do it - a menu as big as most take-aways, exceptionally high-quality food at amazingly reasonable prices and all hand-delivered by the chef herself. This was our first experience with HouseBites and an excellent start. The food, is, well...AMAZING. I am vegetarian (eat seafood though) but there is great choices even though 80% of mains are chicken or red meat. There was HEAPS of food. I ordered two starters, two mains and three deserts. This fed FOUR hungry people and two us us had re-heats today. So...great value for money. The food tasted wonderful; I loved the prawns and aubergine dishhes, and everyone said the chicken was nice. I thought the food was Persian, but these dishes were mostly Indian and enjoyed by our two friends who were Indian (and good cooks too). We decided to do our staff meal at work this year and contacted Housebites for suggestions for a Persian meal. They were more than accommodating and everything was organised without much effort on my part. When the food arrived, delivered by Mehri herself, it was absolutely delicious. I have high praise for Mehri's cooking skills. Two of my colleagues have lived in Iran and loved every tasty morsel. There's no doubting the authencity of each dish. The rice with berries and the Chelo special Lamb kebab deserve a special mention. Mehri provided tons of food for the money... we were in the hands of a true connoisseur. This was my first order from housebites and the whole concpet really works when you get delivered (quickly and on time) delectable home cooked food that is great value for money. The lamb dish must have been slow cooked all day because it was incredibly tender and succulent. All the side dishes were excellent and generous in portion and the whole experience was faultless. Wow the food was once again amazing. The Ash Reshteh was simply divine and cooked to perfection. The Khoresh Badamajan was sensational with plenty of meat and flavour. We really enjoyed the food, thanks Mehri. I ordered on Wednesday 5th October one of each dishes from Mehri’s menu, I had 4 guests we were amazed how every meal was cooked to perfection. I picked up the food myself as it was out of the NW10 area but the food was hot and packed well, Mehri gave us Tah diegh as extra which was delicious. The mains, sides, deserts were all so delicious and the portions were generous and meat was so tasty. What can I say about the Napoleon Cake? It was the best desert we've ever had, big enough for two people to share I will definitely be ordering from Mehri and Housebites again and recommending to friends and neighbours. 5 Gold Stars to you Mehri. Really enjoyed our Persian experience. Soup Was really flavoursome and tasty. Wasn't sure if the plastic pot was microwaveable? Khoresh lamb and aubergine stew was really tender and light, subtly flavoured. Only tiny criticism, I would expect more meat in future as there were only 3 or so tiny dishes in each portion.
