I can't find Fabio's details on the Housebites website tonight, so I can't check to be sure, but from memory Fabio had described his food as Thai/Vietnamese, which it is not at all. Instead, I would say that it's more of a Japanese British fusion, with more of a leaning towards British. The vegetarian potstickers are essentially gyoza, and they're really tasty. The pan-fried panko chicken is barely fusion. Panko literally means 'breadcrumbs' in Japanese, and the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) sauce is again Japanese, but whilst a couple of the ingredients were Japanese, the overall style of the dish is big, bold and British. Based on this, I would say that if you're ordering Fabio's food expecting Thai, Vietnamese, or anything resembling Asian, you're not going to get that. If however you're willing to overlook this technicality, then I can definitely recommend Fabio's food based on its taste. The food was also delivered 25 minutes late, without explanation or apology, though a piece of cheesecake was added to my order (possibly as compensation/apology). - Bonny, N5

Fantastic food from Fabio! Highlights were the exquisite potstickers, spring rolls, and the yummy brownie. The panko chicken was lovely and crispy as well as tender and went really well with the asian coleslaw. My only minor comment would be that the latter dish could maybe have benefited from a condiment or sauce of some sort on theside but on the whole I was very impressed with the quality of cooking and I will definitely be ordering again! - Nicola, N4

The rib of beef was melt in your mouth amazing, the kind of food you welcome winter for. The chicken was tasty, well seasoned and with the asian slaw, it was really tasty. Albeit we waited 35 minutes over our delivery time, but the food arrived, not piping hot, but still hot! When I called about the tardiness of the food the staff answered after one ring and were very diligent, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we will most definitely be ordering again. Really fresh tasting food well executed. Fabio was kind enough to call to say that he was running a bit behind time and was very apologetic when he delivered the food, which was appreciated. Only (hopefully constructice) criticism is that the arancini balls could be a lot smaller (or the menu should explain that they are very big). Three smaller balls for sharing would probably be better (although I wouldn't change the recipe which was delicious). Rob - Rob, N5

This was excellent food, especially the meat - which was just heavenly! The mash was really creamy and wonderful and went well with the spinach. Overall, a great dish. The roasted beetroot was good too but less exceptional than the other dish. Also loved the starter which was (for us) unusual but worked very well. The dishes were of an extremely high standard, well prepared with evidently superior and fresh ingredients. The salmon was one of the best pieces of fish my wife and I had in very long time moist, tender and cooked to perfection. The beetroot and chickpeas dish was very fresh and exceptionally tasty. But If I had to put my money on one dish it would be the Chilli Prawn Arancini. This clearly was not a take away but a challenge to restaurants such as L'Anima or Locanda Locatelli. We loved the salmon and the pork - the salmon was good quality and plenty of it, the pork was tender and delicious. The veg was well cooked and the spinach was so lovely we could have eaten a whole bowl of it. All in all, a great meal! - geoff, N4
