Hello, I'm Ed! Growing up on a working farm in rural Suffolk, I have always been used to traditional, wholesome food. Having mastered the art of traditional dishes, I now like to put a twist on the ordinary, creating unique meals which encompass the different cuisines I've come across whilst travelling the world and exploring multi-cultural London.

The experimental approach that I take has led me to discover some incredibly powerful flavours. I aim to source most ingredients from London growers and suppliers, and my menu is also complemented by my own garden produce. I have learnt a freestyle approach to cooking that expresses my own enthusiasm and passion for food.

I hope that you enjoy eating my relaxed and delicious food as much as I enjoy cooking it for you.

My Reviews

Another stunner from Ed. Loved this. Just right for an evening when the nights are drawing in. The rice pudding was particularly gorgeous, unusual flavours and a hallmark of Housebites as you know you will get something really different from your normal takeaway. - Alex, SW11
That was the yummiest, scrumiest meal that I've had in a long time. You can really taste the lemon and spices. Beautiful and reasonably healthy. - Alex, SW11
Very yummy.. Worth anticipation from order to door - Mary, SW9
Really great. Promptly delivered and the main courses were still hot! The key lime pie was sensational! - Alison, SW9
The tomato & buffalo mozzarella salad was fresh and tasty. The Italian Beef Paleonaise unfortunately didn't 'wow' me. It was underseasoned in all aspects. I understand that this service exists to save on cooking and receive tasty 'chef' prepared meals at home. I feel I could have cooked a better version of this myself. - Inna, SW4
The Risotto was one of the best I have ever had. - Tracey, SW11
Another great meal from Housebites. This time from a different chef. Our expectations were set higher this time because of our last meal. We werent disappointed. Food was refreshing and tasty, delicately balanced with spices and sweetness. Will be ordering again and again through Housebites. - Marco, SW12
Steak was excellent - right temp and perfectly cooked. Fennel salad very interesting and unusual, good flavour mix. Risotto could have used a bit more salt but had very good mushroom flavour and decent amount of mushrooms plus loved the truffle oil added. - Celeste, SW4
The French Toast with Toffee Apple is the best dessert I've eaten in ages! - Nick, SW12
Food was delicious and the French toast dessert was unlike anything else I've has before. Spectacular! - Ioana, SW11
Delicious food, would definitely order again. - Eleanor, SW11
This was our first Housebites experience and we were impressed, it was fun. Our meals were tasty and seemed much healthier than a typical takeaway. The portion sizes were reasonable, the chicken dish was full of fresh herbs which I really enjoyed and the cheesecake was delicious. - Jamie, SW12
Superb Lamb Stew Ed,really tender and succulent. Most enjoyable. - Liam, SW2
Ed's food was good, simple, wholesome fare - haddock and sweet corn chowder was a really hearty delight - more like a stew than a soup - packed with fish, potato and other vegetables. The Moroccan chicken was a nice idea and really warming and the cheesecake was a guilty pleasure but where was the brûlée? - Ade, SW2
